The year that influenced many top artists today in the music world. Before it was about Rims, Ice, Clothes, and Incredible Technology, ‘94 was about the Hopes, Dreams, Struggles, and Triumphs of urban and ghetto life. What makes this year so golden and monumental, no matter what the situation was in the music, it painted the perfect picture for us to dwell on, whether we liked it or not. No fairytales about shining all the time, but getting trials and tribulations off their chest. Every song showcased vivid ghetto imagery, heartache, freedom, and politics. 1994 invented the origins of Rhyme and Reason, the very thing that’s lacking today. Yes there are rhymes, but not really enough reason. The purpose of making records back then, was to speak your mind from your heart, the main ingredient of making a monumental record. Nowadays, people are talking the talk just to get your ears, but 94 captured your soul...
